The Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation Launches New Program for Large Donors

Cara Familet, Foundation Director of The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation | Family Office, was pleased to be among an intimate group of invited donors, hosted by Ali and Joe Torre, to hear the latest details on the launch of a new "Chairman's Circle Major Donor Program" to expand The Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation services.  The meeting was held at SAH Board Member Frank P. Longobardi's offices at CohnReznick LLP on February 8 2018.  Much of the rest of the board and key staff were also present, to field questions and provide more information on the opportunity.  Previously, The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation was an "All-Star Sponsor" of the Safe at Home LA Dinner in 2017.

Triple Play Sponsor: The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation Was a “Triple Play Sponsor” for the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation “All Star Evening.”

Los Angeles, CA -- April 21, 2017 -- The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation was a “Triple Play Sponsor” of the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation’s “All Star Evening” at the Hotel Bel Air on Thursday, April 20, 2017. About 200 guests attended the dinner, along with Joe and Ali Torre, Bob Costas, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and James Worthy.

The Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation has served over 60,000 children with their signature “Margaret’s Place” program, named after Joe’s mother. The program offers in school programming, locally and nationally, to children who live in fear and have witnessed violence in their homes, schools and communities.
