Cara Familet, Foundation Director of The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation | Family Office, was pleased to be among an intimate group of invited donors, hosted by Ali and Joe Torre, to hear the latest details on the launch of a new "Chairman's Circle Major Donor Program" to expand The Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation services. The meeting was held at SAH Board Member Frank P. Longobardi's offices at CohnReznick LLP on February 8 2018. Much of the rest of the board and key staff were also present, to field questions and provide more information on the opportunity. Previously, The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation was an "All-Star Sponsor" of the Safe at Home LA Dinner in 2017.
The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation wholeheartedly supports The Milken Institute. We enjoyed all of their events this year from "MI: Global" to "The Future of Health." And Mr. Milken's leadership is commendable in all ways. We hope to forge a deeper partnership with him and his organization in 2018!
EDUCATION - There really is nothing better than learning. The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation | Family Office's Foundation Director, Cara Familet, attended a unique one-day summit, organized by The Aspen Institute, which brought together top technology leaders, CEOs, and government officials to explore the latest in cybersecurity, with a particular focus on how the public and private sectors can work together to safeguard our economic, financial, and government assets - while also maintaining convenience and protecting privacy. Washington, DC - We made a special trip down to our nation's capital to attend The Foundation Presidents' Roundatable Luncheon, organized by The Aspen Institute, an organization that has had the support of The Chauncey F. Lufkin III Foundation for more than a decade. Julia Stasch, President of The MacArthur Foundation, spoke to us on what her organization is doing to better our world. The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation is one of our nation’s largest philanthropies with assets of more than $6.3 billion, and offices in Chicago, Mexico City, New Delhi, and Abuja, Nigeria. We admire their work and applaud her leadership. View her bio here:
